Contavue is the responsible party for personal information processed through this site, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect

• Providers: name, business name, email, phone, city, industry and payment records.
• Customers: name, phone, email, city and the details of the service you request.
• Public business information: business names, phone numbers, websites and social pages that businesses publish publicly.
• Technical data: device and usage information needed to run and secure the service.

Why we use it

• To match customer requests with suitable providers.
• To run accounts, process payments through PayFast and prevent fraud.
• To meet legal and tax obligations.

Sharing

Customer contact details are only shown to providers who unlock that request. We share data with service providers that help us operate (hosting, payments, email), under confidentiality obligations. We do not sell personal information.

Storage and security

Data is stored with reputable cloud providers, which may be outside South Africa, with safeguards required by POPIA section 72. Access is restricted and encrypted in transit.

How long we keep it

We keep account and payment records for as long as your account is active and for 5 years afterwards for tax purposes. Lead requests are kept for up to 24 months.

Your rights

• Ask what information we hold about you and request a copy.
• Ask us to correct or delete your information.
• Object to processing, including direct marketing.
• Complain to the Information Regulator: inforeg.org.za.
